companion planting,
Paradise row, march 2022
A performative dinner in celebration of the reciprocal and sustainable ways of cultivating crops and the need to preserve ancestral wisdom. The ancient Three Sisters method of farming, known for its natural ability to enhance soil diversity, control pests, save space, and promote plant biodiversity, served as the muse for this performative dinner. Inspired by the ecosophy of planting three companion plants in close proximity, gobyfish concocted a range of seasonal, locally-sourced, and foraged dishes, inspired by these trio combinations. By amalgamating ancestral wisdom, this experience allowed our guests to imagine a future of farming that's both symbiotic and sustainable. A night hosted by Paradise Row, that recognised the interdependence of food and culture.
